Clinical Example: Simple incomplete syndactyly release incorporating redundant distal web skin
| Syndactyly is in some ways
not enough surface for the volume. There is not enough skin to cover
two fingers. Sometimes syndacylous fingers appear to have excess skin
because of a broad distal web. Despite this, after release, there is
always too little skin to cover both fingers at the base and
reconstruct a normal web without changing the volume of the finger by
defatting the fingers. This is an example. |
